Eva Longoria is an American actress, producer, director, activist and businesswoman. Longoria’s career began in 1998, when she won the title of Miss Corpus Christi.
Eva began to raise her profile after her role as Isabella Braña on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. In 2004 she signed as Gabrielle Solis on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives, for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy, and five Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, winning two.
Eva is also known for her roles in films such as Harsh Times (2005), The Sentinel (2006), and Over Her Dead Body (2008).
Besides acting Longoria has ventured into business and has released various books, and she is also known for her charity work, named the Philanthropist of the year by The Hollywood Reporter in 2009.
